BANDANA LUXURY SILK KIMONON TILLEUL

BANDANA LUXURY SILK KIMONON TILLEUL

Description

Agnès Hardi presents this small bandana scarf, 50 centimeters square, printed on 67g / m² silk twill. The Kimonon design is inspired by a traditional Japanese kimono design. Its Tilleul variant is shades of green, accented with Tyrian pink.

This pattern is part of a collection of scarves with varied patterns and shimmering colors entirely designed by Agnès Hardi. There are geometric patterns, flowers, leaves, old documents, Asian or architectural inspirations. You will find different formats in this collection: the 50 x 50 cm bandana, the 90 x 90 cm square scarf, and the 180 x 90 cm stole.

All the squares, regardless of their size, are printed on 67 grams per square meter silk twill, as well as two stole patterns: Rosko and Vitralo. The stoles of the other patterns are printed on 40/45 grams per square meter cotton voile. The finish of all items printed on silk is a hand-crafted French roll. The finishes of the cotton voile stoles are machine-made flat hems.

Origin of KIMONON by Agnès

I was in my last year studying in France when I was chosen by a traditional Japanese firm, looking for a designer to Europeanize the patterns of their kimonos. So, I very early became interested in this fascinating culture and the endless world of kimonos.

Then, as the years went by, all of Asia became an inexhaustible source of inspiration for me.

I still return sometimes to kimonos like the one that inspired this square scarf, which I had probably seen at the Guimet museum in Paris, undoubtedly the museum in the world where I have spent the most time.
